Other than a few timekeeping issues, this year's River Run seemed to be a big success. The shuttle vehicles were in full gear, the police had a high presence, river traffic was high, but road traffic was low and the water level was great. Super fun day. Not a bad way to spend my birthday either. Family and friends sang Happy Birthday and shared birthday cake and lemonade during our break at 7Stitches. I seem to meet more paddlers at the River Run than anywhere else and this year was no exception. I paddled with a great group and enjoyed some new play-spots, including the junkyard wave. That feature is awesome. I'm already looking forward to next year.
